Mexican Sunflower is an absolute favorite of butterflies and bees. Fast growing and continuously blooms all season long. Trim back spent flowers and it will bloom into late Fall. Gather seeds from dried flower heads for next season.
An annual in regions that get frost, a perennial in more temperate regions.
Mexican sunflower does not require a lot of nutrients in soil and has been proven to actually increase the nutrients in the soil. An added bonus for a healthy garden.
